The moon to commence the month of Muharram 1445 AH was looked for after the sunset on Monday 17th July 2023. Reports from committees confirm that the moon was not sighted.

THE HILAL COUNCIL OF CANADA has accepted these reports and declared that the month of Zul-Hijjah 1444 AH will complete 30 days.Therefore, the 1st day of Muharram 1445 AH will be on Wednesday July 19th, 2023 which corresponds the 10th of Muharram Day of Ashurah will be on Friday, 28th July 2023, I.A.
